Porcelain Artistry
Biscuit porcelain is a type of porcelain without a glaze, meaning it lacks the shiny surface typical of glazed ceramics. It has a matte, silky texture to the touch, resulting from the use of the best raw materials, such as kaolin, feldspar, and quartz.
Because of its smooth, non-reflective surface, biscuit porcelain is often used for sculptural and decorative pieces, as it preserves and highlights fine details and delicate forms in the sculpture.
Founder
Joaquim Gil is the founder of BrazGil Studio and has been a part of his life for over 40 years. He is the professor and leader of the BrazGil Studio team.
With a career spanning the entire spectrum of production from early manufacturing methods to cutting-edge technologies, he brings comprehensive artistic and technical expertise to every project.
